Kenyéla Horn

Kenyéla Horn is a senior at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School where she is the President of the Black Student Union and the Step Master of the Blue Diamond Step Team. Kenyéla has been a profound orator for over 10 years; lending her voice for community service. She has been invited as a featured speaker for local politicians, churches, community organizations and special events for youth and senior citizens. Since 2013 Kenyéla has been a multiple Gold medalist in the NAACP Afro-American, Cultural, Technological, Scientific Olympics; winning Gold medals in Photography, Original Essay, and Oratory. She is also the 2nd place winner of a local American Legion Oratorical Contest. As a regular honor roll student, and through accelerated classes, Kenyéla is already a multiple-recipient of local scholarships. She will use these awards towards college in the fall; where she will major in communications. Kenyéla aspires to be an influence in the media industry working to infuse cultural competence from the powder room to the executive board rooms.
