Matthew Supran is a Junior at Summit High School and has received Summa Cum Laude honors for academic achievement. He regularly participates in mathematics competitions throughout the year and through a high score on the American Mathematics Competition recently qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam. In addition to academics, he also participates in debate. This February, at the 43rd Annual National Forensics tournament, Matt and his partner advanced to the quarterfinals out of an initial pool of 340 entries in public forum debate, and championed the New Jersey State Debate tournament in March. He also received 9th place speaking honors at Harvard and 2nd place speaking honors at the New Jersey State Tournament. Finally, Matt is a member of his local Boy Scout troop. He is currently a Star Scout and will most likely advance to Life Scout in the coming months, allowing him to pursue his Eagle Scout project and rank.
