Michael Villanueva is a senior at East Brunswick Vocational and Technical High School. Since his freshman year in the theatre program, Michael has been in 9 shows at his school. He recently just finished a production of Twelfth Night in which he acted and assistant directed. In addition to being in the theatre program, Michael is an active member in the Gender, Sexual Minority, and Allies Club at this school. Michael has participated in the GSMA’s play reading of the Laramie Project and National Day of Silence. Outside of school, Michael has performed in New York City in the award winning show “The Education Project” which premiered at his school. He also performed in Princeton this past October for “The Every 28 Hours Plays” at the McCarter Theatre. His play “Packing” was recently read at Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick for their “Social Justice: Genesis” event. Following High School, Michael plans on pursuing a career in theatre and getting a BFA degree in Theatre Arts.
