United States House of Representatives
May-04-04 |
| On May 4, 2004 the United States House of Representatives passed a
resolution, H. Con.Res. 380, in favor of music education. The bill
states: “That it is the sense of the Congress that music education
grounded in rigorous instruction is an important component of a
well-rounded academic curriculum and should be available to every
student in every school.” Though a measure without direct ties to
funding, the resolution is symbolic and lends to the fuel of arts
advocates. |
