Hello! My name is Iris Brudi, class of 2018, and I am currently attending Somerville High School. Being a student athlete, I’ve received varsity in all of my sports and activities–marching band, swimming, and track & field– within the first and second years of commitment. For my academic achievements I have been recognized with the award of Student of the Month, October 2015, and being part of the Honors Award in 2015. In my artistic field, I have been involved with the Youth Art Month community for the State exhibit (2018), Recognition Award (2018), and the Somerset County Exhibit (2017, 2018) as well as gaining a Certificate of Merit from Tyler School of Art (2018) and being in the BEF- Barnes & Noble Bookfair -exhibit (2017). Although art is one of my favorite academics, I have additional interest in history and english, and I take multiple honors, advanced placement, and college classes. I also participate in Life Skills, an autism-awareness program in which Somerville students participate in class with autistic students, during open senior lunch time. As for my future plans, I am committed to Temple University, where I will major in Graphic Design at the Tyler School of Art.
