My name is Casey Morrison and I am a senior at the Union County Academy for Performing Arts. In my high school career, I have received High Honor Rolls and a Student of the Month award. I am a member of the Spanish Honor Society, the Secretary of the National Honor Society, the Vice President of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, a Senator of Student Council, a peer tutor, a volunteer at the Home for Good Dogs Rescue and American Youth Red Cross, as well as a full-time dancer. Although I have been dancing since I was three-years-old, I began training classically at the New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble in 2011, under Artistic Director Nancy Turano, where I worked with prominent artists such as Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, Kate Skarpetowska, Elizabeth Roxas, Adam Barruch, and many more, and have had
soloist roles of Arabian, Marzipan, and Columbine in The Nutcracker. Furthermore, I have studied at the Alvin Ailey, Alonzo King LINES, French Academy of Ballet, and MIP2 Summer Intensives. I intend to double major in dance and legal studies in college, and I hope to dance professionally in a contemporary ballet company such as Complexions or LINES in the future.
