Ann Noling is a director and teacher from Brooklyn. She holds an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College and a BA in American Studies with a focus on Critical Race Studies and Performance Studies from Tufts University. She is also an alum of Community Word Project’s Teaching Artist training program. As a director she has directed new work seen in the NYC Fringe Festival, on Cybertank, and at Dixon Place, The Brick, and The Fourth Street Theatre, and is also a frequent collaborator with 2nd Best Dance Company. She was a directing fellow with Playwrights Horizons, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Manhattan Theatre Club, and was an SDCF Observer. As a teacher, she has taught and directed students of all ages, from preschool to adults. She works as a teaching artist in NYC public schools working in a wide range of K-12 classrooms including self-contained, ICT, MLL and G&T classes. At NJPAC she teaches in their acting, musical theater, arts integration, and professional development programs.
