Gabrielle Petit-Homme

Hello! I’m Gabrielle Petit-Homme or Gabe for short. I’ve been drawing for as long as I could walk. I’ve always felt a little different from my peers and I channel this feeling in my art. Delving into topics like gender expression and conformity. Emphasizing the importance of self-discovery by growing beyond the need to conform to societal pressures and expectations. This process has helped me develop confidence in myself, allowing me to be more vulnerable and honest with myself. Through making art, I learned a lot about myself, what mediums I worked well with, the importance of practice, and how much I love myself. Every day, I’m learning and experimenting, and enjoying the process of making art. Rather than rushing toward a final product that I was
disappointed with. The mistakes I’ve made along the way are just valuable lessons that push me forward in my artistic journey. Through this ongoing process of self-discovery and growth, my approach to each piece has become more intentional. I have made a conscious effort to appreciate the little details. In order to grow, be more authentic, and create something I’ll cherish.
