Samuel Gauvin

There are many passions one can choose from, but Samuel Gauvin is most passionate about only one: performance. There is not a time he can remember when he wasn’t completely consumed by a desire to act and perform. He played leads in his middle school musicals (like Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka Jr.), but High School really gave him the opportunities he needed to work at his craft with the direction and education of Gail Enterline. His sophomore year, he landed the role of Cornelius Hackle in Hello, Dolly! and the following year the role of Bob Baker in Wonderful Town. In the summer between, Sam participated in a reading of the new play Dinner With The Dictator by davidbdale and worked at  theater summer camps with students as old as 13 years old and kids as young as 5. He recently spent a season with the Pro Kids Holiday Vocal Troupe and plans to return for the next season (you can even find him on Spotify!). Sam truly finds any and all ways to explore his adoration for performance—be it acting, singing, playing the saxophone, writing, or winning the governor’s award for best actor at STANJ!
