Explore New Jersey’s 2020 Visual and Performing Arts Standards, consider practical implications of the revised standards, and provide an opportunity to reflect upon current practice through a new lens. In each interactive workshop, participants will also explore the Arts Education & Social Emotional Learning Framework, reflect upon examples, and work together to make direct connections between the four artistic processes (Create, Present/Perform/Produce, Respond, Connect) and the five social emotional competencies (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision-Making).
