Julia Thompson is a high school senior from Matawan Regional High School, class of 2018. Julia is an honor roll student and a member of National Honor Society. Ranked in the top 5% of her graduating class, Julia is a very diligent student with a passion for academics. Her favorite subjects include the biological sciences, literature and composition, and American history. With a deep appreciation for the arts, Julia also takes interest in creative endeavors. Along with being a lover of telecommunications, creative writing, and local theatre, perhaps Julia’s greatest devotion resides with Speech and Debate. Julia joined Speech and Debate as a freshman and has been the team’s president for the last two years. Believe it or not, she has never missed a tournament! She is very excited and honored to be representing New Jersey in Informative Speaking at the National Speech and Debate Tournament this summer in Florida. She would like to take this opportunity to thank her coach, Lauren Sodono, her loving family and their endless support, and her incredibly inspiring teammates. Julia plans on attending university in her home state of New Jersey and hopes to pursue a career in science.
