Kierstyn Edore is originally from Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, and has had a love for dance since the age of two. She attended high school at the Morris County School of Technology for the Visual and Performing Arts Dance Academy, where she is currently studying dance and theater. She has been training at the Dance Academy of North Jersey in Jefferson, New Jersey for 15 years, specializing in the styles of contemporary, ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz, and musical theater. Kierstyn has had the opportunity to perform in several renowned venues such as the Joyce Theatre and Symphony Space in New York City, along with VPA’s annual Backstage is Onstage and May Dance concerts. In the past three years, Kierstyn has also choreographed several modern pieces including Interrelation, Voices, Lose It, and Absent Haven.
In addition to dance, Kierstyn has taken on multiple leadership roles as well, including being elected President of National Honors Society for Dance Arts, receiving the New Jersey Governor’s Award, and being selected as a Peer Leader at MCST. In the future, Kierstyn aspires to find herself continuing in choreography and dance, or working in a professional dance company and traveling the world while doing what she loves most.
