Michael Schaffner is a senior at Gloucester County Institute of Technology, in the School of The Performing Arts with a concentration in Drama. He has been awarded two international superior Thespian medals for his work in costume design, as well as his duet acting scene. Michael has received a Paper Mill Playhouse Award for best featured ensemble in Urinetown: The Musical. At present, he is a member of The National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, apace with serving as the Senior Fundraiser on his Thespian Troupe’s executive board. He has spent time volunteering at the Camden County Animal Shelter, alongside with participating in The Saint Vincent DePaul Society, a church organization that assists the needs of the less fortunate. Michael is a member of Thespian Troupe #5480 and ACTing OUT, a social advocacy group that highlights current social issues. He plans on persisting with theatre, but will further pursue his passion in Costume Design throughout college, with the hopes to express his creativity and individuality.
