WEBSITE BANNER-6

Background:

Arts Ed NJ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, remains committed to supporting the field and  advancing teaching and learning through quality professional learning opportunities. Arts Ed NJ recently completed its 12-month strategic planning process, culminating in the adoption of an exciting and ambitious five-year plan. This process involved extensive partner engagement, conversations with supervisors, educators, and students, and assessments of school professional learning needs and challenges. The final plan features four compelling goals, and professional learning remains an important facet of Arts Ed NJ’s efforts to support educators and the field. To meet the expanding demand for professional learning, Arts Ed NJ is currently recruiting a diverse pool of up to 10 facilitators (up to two in each arts discipline) to be part of a learning community designed to prepare participants to lead or co-lead workshop content designed by Arts Ed NJ.

Calling all arts educators (current or recently retired!) or Supervisors of the Arts!

Arts Ed NJ is launching a Professional Learning Facilitation Community (PLFC) to grow the community of facilitators who are prepared to lead professional learning on behalf of Arts Ed NJ.

The PLFC is a paid opportunity that will meet October 2024 – May 2025 and includes free tuition to Arts Ed NJ’s two-part, On-Demand course along with a series of guided conversations. The cohort will focus on driving student empowerment through arts education by making direct connections to the VPA Learning Standards, and sharing experiences and examples from practice, in a supportive learning community. Applicants should have a strong desire to co-lead professional learning on behalf of Arts Ed NJ in the future.
