In my opinion, it is important to advocate for and advance arts education in New Jersey because it allows for students to understand their potential in creative fields. Although many students will not take an interest in arts-related fields, the skills that they acquire through these programs will undoubtedly benefit them. Many of my own friends have at first shown little enthusiasm when participating in performances, but through the process of being in front of an audience, they have grown confidence and become comfortable with delivering a story to a large group of people. I am passionate about the arts, and for other students like me, I hope for arts education to continue to thrive in New Jersey. This will allow dedicated students to expand their view of the area of study that they are committed to.
