It is important to advocate for art education because when school budgets are tight, the first classes to get cut are the art classes. This leaves a black hole in the school community. It is difficult for many parents to pay for outside instruction; therefore without the school plays, bands, choirs, and art classes in school, many kids would not have any exposure to the arts.
