Priscilla Hopkins-Smith
Programs and Communications Manager
Priscilla Hopkins-Smith has 11 years of experience in communication and administration in the nonprofit sector. In her role as Programs and Communications Manager she works closely with the Director and Program Development Manager to move arts education initiatives forward. Priscilla’s expertise lies in social media management and optimization along with outreach and engagement of the arts education community. Priscilla takes pride in managing the Annual Governor’s Awards in Arts Education and has provided administration and oversight continuing to cultivate the awards for over six years. Priscilla is proud to promote the Arts Ed Now campaign.
Priscilla has previously worked with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, assisting the communication and arts education departments. She keenly implemented social media management in their outreach through their various partnerships and programs, trained staff and held workshops. A current member of the Development and Education Committees for South Jersey Cultural Alliance and a former member of the Communications Working Group for ArtsPlan NJ and the PR and Marketing Committee for the Community Foundation of South Jersey. She is on the Board for Dance New Jersey. Priscilla holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Public Relations from Thomas Edison State University. In 2010, she earned a certificate for Nonprofit Management at Rowan College at Burlington County. Priscilla is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Theatre: Arts Administration program at Rowan University.
